ANIMALS TRANSPORTED
YTD (November 2024): 1,023
cart is now the coalition of animal rescue transporters!
Our Mission
The mission of the Coalition of Animal Rescue Transporters (CART) is to collaborate and share opportunities to transport rescue animals from shelters and rescues to the same in other states that have more adoption demand than in the Coalition members’ home area.
CART acts as a service provider to Coalition members, assisting with:
• Client management – finding new destination partners and finalizing transport relationships
• Initial transport planning and logistics
• Maintenance of Best Practice Standards, to develop a high-quality transport program shared by members, and
• Funding primarily by grants from third parties.
The objective of this Coalition is to provide a meaningful collaboration to increase lifesaving and meet shared missions. This collaboration represents a relationship beyond simple transfer of animals and includes opportunities for information sharing, educational assistance and other efforts. The organization is a cooperative venture between animal welfare organizations to help individual animals and weave a stronger safety net for animals.
Some of our success stories!
nala
Nala…[is] doing great in…[her] new home! Nala is so energetic and playful and loooooves to snuggle. She’s really, really sweet with my two sons who are eight and four..
Thanks again for your help and for taking such good care of our girl Nala!
Candy
Candy- now renamed Ohno- is doing great! She’s the sweetest, happiest, cuddliest cat and so much fun. We’re working on helping our dog adjust to a cat with a professional trainer (she’s VERY excited about Ohno) and it’s going well. We love Ohno so much and are so happy she’s part of our family!
charlie
Charlie is now Petey. We love him. He is a crazy man who is affectionate and loves to play hard.

how you can help
CART is always looking for volunteers to assist with administrative duties (website updates, social media, transport monitor, etc.) If you are interested in volunteering as a transport driver, our Coalition members want to hear from you too!
Currently, our transports run from Central Arkansas, Ft. Smith and Rogers to six states: Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio and Minnesota. Expanding to more states soon!
